Who We Are

The Toronto Saracens Rugby Club is built on a simple idea: a good club should be easy to join, hard to leave, and as much about the people on the pitch as the score at the end of it.

We're sixty-plus players from every corner of the city. Lifelong rugby people, first-timers in their thirties, and everyone in between. We train through the week, play a full senior men's season across two teams, and sit down together afterwards. Always.

Play hard on the field, then sit down and share a moment.

  • David Miller, Alumni

I was an active playing member of the Toronto Saracens for well over a decade, was co-coach of the women's team and have stayed involved with the club since my playing days ended. It’s always been a club that strives for excellence on the pitch and camaraderie off it - and succeeds in both. We had great victories against the best Ontario teams - because we were one of them. Our players were capped for Canada, and we were welcoming hosts to many clubs small and large, including Llanelli. And we toured ourselves with great gusto. The Toronto Saracens know how to play rugby, but perhaps more importantly, they value a good club member and know how to welcome them into the club.

  • Sam Hansen, Player 2025

I only spent one season with the Toronto Saracens before heading back home to Australia where I grew up playing. My time with the Saracens was easily the most rewarding of my rugby career. A group of such strong standards with genuine toughness and grit.  The unbeatable culture as directed by the Coaches made the experience enjoyable with the appropriate level of challenges and expectations.  Furthermore, the Leadership team set the benchmark for what a rugby club should be.
